St. John Central Schools Home & School
Home & School Association
The Home & School Association is made up of parents of St. John Central students, teachers, and staff. It serves not only as an important link between home and school, but also as an integral part of the school, parish, and community.
The Home & School is responsible for contributing $20,000 each year to the school general operating budget. Additional funding has also been provided for Accelerated Reader Program, smart boards, kitchen remodel, school busing fees, volunteer background checks/fingerprinting and more. The H & S also plans and funds activities such as Snoop & Scoop, Back to School Bash, End of School picnic, Halloween party, Thanksgiving Feast, Catholic Schools Week, etc shown below.
Please consider giving your time or talents! Research consistently shows that kids whose parents are involved get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer difficulties in school.

Officers
Our Officers consists of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each role has several duties and commitments. Please refer to Home & School By Laws linked at the bottom of this section to learn more about what each role entails and how elections work.

Subcommittees
Subcommittees consist of four to fourteen members with a Chairperson, and Co-Chairperson. Each subcommittee will decide these seats by a majority vote within their respective committees. Please see below to see the 5 committees and their expected duties.

Meet Our President
Hello!
I’m Robin Eichmiller, President of the St. John Home and School Association. I’ve been part of the St. John community my entire life. My mother taught at St. John for over 30 years and still volunteers at the school. I attended and graduated from St. John, and now I’m proud to be a St. John parent.
Our oldest child attended St. John from PreK through 8th grade, and we currently have a 3rd and 4th grader enrolled. St. John is a true gem for families. The close-knit, family atmosphere and the strong religious education are the main reasons we continue to choose this school for our children.
Over the past year, the HSA has made significant improvements in organization and finances, helping things run more smoothly and efficiently. My goal this year is to continue that momentum—strengthening the HSA and preparing it for a strong future with the next officer team.
As a group, we’re focused on increasing our support for teachers to better serve our students, and we’re beginning plans to update the Preschool and Grade School playgrounds.

Meetings
Meetings are held each month on the third Wednesday @ 6:30PM with the exception of July.
Our meetings are official and informative. They last about an hour, we sometimes have refreshments, and there is always FUN conversation! You can be as lax or involved as you want to be, and it benefits the kids!
