Jill Spindler, Title I
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my first year teaching at St John Grade School and my first year teaching Title 1. I have been involved with the Fort Frye School District for 20 years, either as a Paraprofessional or a volunteer. I have worked at Lowell Elementary and Beverly Center Schools as an Aide in the classrooms and as an Aide for students who need one on one instruction.
FAMILY
I am married to my husband, Bryan. We have been married for 26 years and live in the Lowell area. We have two sons, Josh and Derek. We also have a dog, Laila.
OUT-OF-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
The most precious thing to me is spending time with my family. Making memories and laughing with my family is very important to me. Some of the activities we love to do together are camping, boating, snow skiing, going to sporting events and concerts, playing cards, and having family dinners. I also love to travel. There is much to see and do on this beautiful planet!!!
CLASSROOM POLICIES AND GOALS
Coming to class with a good, caring, understanding, respectful attitude is important for me and the students. Students should put their best effort into every lesson. Students should feel safe, respected, and cared about by me and by their peers. It is important to show respect to others by taking turns, listening to others, and asking questions.
STATEMENT PURPOSE
Students learn in different ways. And It is my goal as an educator to help the students figure out what is the best strategy for them. Every child needs the opportunity to achieve to be the best person they can be and it is a passion of mine to help them achieve their goals.
