TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am the 2nd/3rd grade teacher at St. John Central School!  I graduated from Seton Hill University of Greensburg, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.  I am certified to teach Early Childhood Education (grades Pre-K – 4) and Special Education (grades K – 8.)  With that being said, this is my fifth year of teaching at St. John Central, and the students have made every second worthwhile! This is my first year of teaching in a 2nd/3rd grade split classroom, and I feel blessed to work with two wonderful different classes every day!

FAMILY

Family is something that means the world to me.  I have learned so much from each of them in so many ways.

OUT-OF-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Outside of school, I enjoy singing with my family in church, and doing anything artsy!

CLASSROOM POLICIES AND GOALS

I believe that teachers should be capable of bringing out the best in their students.  A teacher’s duty is to find a way to help each and every student learn to the best of his or her abilities in a safe environment.  I do not tolerate bullying in my classroom, for I believe that every child deserves a chance; a chance to be the best he or she can be.  It is also important that teachers are able to help children develop self-confidence and self-esteem.  My main goal is to let the students know that they can do anything they put their minds to.  One of the greatest feelings a person can have is a feeling of accomplishment.  With the right guidance and determination, every student can have this feeling.
